  One night in Gent I was sitting in this stupid hipsterbar getting annoyed by the boring postrock being played by the dj. My friend happened to notice the "cheapo Crypt sampler"-cd behind the bar so I took out my Colt .45 and we made the dj play the Gories. He almost started crying and whispered: "You can't play rock'n'roll in here, they will demolish this place and your gun won't stop them.". This made us laugh out loud and I cocked the trigger. So there blasted "Nitroglycerine" out of the speakers and what do you know? The hipsterdrunks and junkies sitting at the bar started shaking violently on their chairs. Than all hell broke loose. We had to bust some heads to get out of there alive and the bar got a free makeover.
Moral of the story: sometimes there's a good reason to play bad music!

Searched almost every secondhandrecordshop in Brussels yesterday for this one. Finally found it in the second most expensive one. It rules! 70's partyhardrock at its best, it's even better than most Kiss-stuff and it's a hell of a lot better than the soloalbums of the other Kissguys (I found several copies of their records if that tells you anything). British cultthriller thas poses interesting questions about christianity and paganism. Yes, it's not trash and it ain't dubbed, not even subtitled! And it's based on a written script by someone very smart! And I still think it's a great movie! Why? Zombie 3 (not Zombi 3!)
Italian zombietrash dubbed in bad english (no, again?). A bunch of ugly Italian dudes and their hot girlfriends (Italian horrordirectors have the best taste in women) arrive in some castle that gets attacked by zombies, they all get killed. Highlights: the very freaky young son of one of the women who tries to seduce his mother and later bites of her tit! So yes, tits are shown. The bad english is hilarious and the special effects are cheap but very gory. Watch it if you can!  ¶ 8:20 AM

American horrortrash. (I seem to watch an awful lot of trash, next time I'll review a somewhat more sophisticated movie, I promise) It sucks. Some very fake titties are shown. I put all my bets on Freddy but in the end there is no real winner. Only some of the killings are cool. Watch Bride of Chucky instead, a masterpiece by the same director.  ¶ 4:37 AM

Legend of the golden pearl
Yet another cheap dvd of a foreign movie dubbed in bad english, this time it's an Indiana Jones-ripoff from Hong Kong which means an incomprehensible storyline, lots of great action and even more bad jokes, great! Highlights: the crazy masks of the kungfu-monks, the 5 year old mindreading leader of the monks who rides a motorbike and practices some mean kungfu, the evil alien-millionnaire who bleeds gold and the spaceship that turns into a firedragon. Instead of the boring titleroll at the end of every movie this one just repeats the best actionscenes, what a great idea! No titties, but i didn't really miss'em. Watch it if you can!  ¶ 2:20 PM

Spanish horrortrash dubbed in bad english. Highlights include the cool as fuck bloodsucking Templars (the blind dead from the title), a sexscene where a spanish machodude is gonna change the lesbian leadactress to heterosexualism by raping her (we don't find out if it worked but she survives and he gets bloodsucked!) and the very cool toweljacket(?) the leadactor puts on when he gets out of the pool in the beginning of the movie, too bad that thing never became fashionable. Some titties are also included. Available on cheap dvd, watch it if you can.  ¶ 7:48 AM
